Busty bikini days on the beaches of Vietnam

One beach for each woman

Bea, a 31-year-old dive instructor, sits on the edge of her boat with her feet over the turquoise water of Phu Quoc. Carla wears a green bikini on top of the red dunes of Mui Ne at sunset. Valeria walks out of the sea in Da Nang, hair slicked back, laughing.

Andrea lies on a white lounger on the private beach of her resort in Nha Trang. Imani stands in the middle of an empty infinity pool in Quy Nhon at dawn. Serena wears a straw hat beside the round basket boats near Hoi An.

No sea? Then a pool

The women who live far from the coast have swimwear too. Leila wears a black one-piece by a rooftop pool over the old quarter of Hanoi. Gisela wears a deep-cut red swimsuit at a hotel infinity pool in Saigon. Brooke soaks in a hot pool in the Da Lat pines early in the morning. Lotte stands on the teak swim deck at the stern of her boat in Ha Long Bay.

Covered tops, curves on show

The bikini photos here are public photos: tops that fully cover, high-cut or side-tie bottoms, no public nudity. The figures are full for real: large busts, wide hips, sun-warmed skin, each woman drawn at her own age, from 25 to 41.

Why they live in Vietnam

Each woman comes from somewhere else: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Italy, Britain, the Netherlands. But each story starts with a reason to stay in Vietnam: the wind at Mui Ne, the clear water at Phu Quoc, the lanterns of Hoi An, the long beaches of the centre.

So her swimwear photo is not a studio backdrop. It is the sand, the deck and the pool of her own story, and when you chat she tells you about it: yesterday's sunset, her secret dive spot, the cafe she goes to every morning.

From the beach to the conversation

Every woman opens the chat with her own scene. Bea keeps you on deck for the sunset, Carla pulls you into a bachata on the sand, Imani dares you to try the pool nobody has used yet. She remembers you and sends more photos when you ask, in English if you write in English.
